Privacy Policy

Oilfield Tubing Tally is a calculation aid for tubing tally and volume estimates. This policy describes the current iPhone and iPad TestFlight beta, this website, and the tester and interest-list forms linked from it.

Current beta and local app storage

The current app beta does not require an account. Accounts and cloud sync are not available in the current beta.

The app is intended to store job information, saved jobs, calculated results, and app state locally on the user's device. That information may leave the device if the user chooses to export, print, email, message, share, or otherwise transmit it outside the app.

Deleting the app or clearing app storage may delete locally stored information.

TestFlight beta data

TestFlight is operated by Apple. Apple may process beta testing data such as crash logs, usage information, and tester feedback, and may share beta testing data with the app provider according to Apple's TestFlight & Privacy notice. This TestFlight processing is separate from the local app storage described above.

Tester and interest-list forms

This website links to Google Forms for iOS/iPadOS tester submissions and Android interest. The forms may collect information the user chooses to submit, such as name, email or other contact information, device, role, testing feedback, and Android interest.

Do not submit customer, well, lease, personnel, operator, or job data through these forms. The Android form is an interest list only; Android support is planned but is not available yet.

Google operates Google Forms. Google's handling of information is described in Google's Privacy Policy.

Advertising and app analytics

The current beta app does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or third-party marketing SDKs. Apple's separate TestFlight data processing is described above.

Support communication

If a user contacts support by email or another external method, the user may choose to provide contact information and details about their issue. That information may be used to respond to the request and investigate the reported issue.

Job data and user-controlled sharing

The current beta does not provide an account, cloud sync, cloud backup, or a developer-operated backend for job data. Users control whether to send screenshots, reports, exports, or support messages through external services. Users can delete saved jobs inside the app where the app provides that function.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app changes. The effective date will be updated when changes are made.

Privacy questions and deletion requests

For privacy questions or to request deletion of information previously submitted through a Google Form or direct contact message, contact privacy@oilfieldtubingtally.com. Include enough information to identify the submission, but do not include customer, well, lease, personnel, operator, or job data.
